Artist's Comments

Having been told that she can install Anne's brain immediately, Lee is given space on the Boutique's workbench to extract it from mouse. As she does, she discusses the design of a mechanical hand for Anne with Mouse. With Mouse finally deactivated, Lee installs the syntelligence brain in the new body, then returns to the workbench to collect Mouse's body. While she is sitting there, another bot appears, offering her a freshly made mechanical hand for Anne!

Indeed. Remember that they build Lee's spaceship too. She designed the first one, Mouse, as a cute friend, but using the same sort of AI that is in Sandy, Bondi, Vince and Ralph. Her grandfather took the idea and ran with it. All these cute, robots running around the station being helpful. No one's going to mind them. The fact is they are smart enough to strip the station of everything they need to meet their own ends while not raising anyone's suspicions. And they manage to do it legally whatsmore!
